Amy Gandon is a former civil servant turned freelance researcher. Her interests lie in brave and imaginative ways to reform the state – and public services in particular – deploying her lived experience of Whitehall to make radical change possible within the cultural and institutional constraints of government.

Before setting up her freelance practice, Amy served as a policy advisor in five government departments, including advising the Prime Minister and senior officials as Deputy Head of Public Services in the Cabinet Office, and Head of Policy and Participation at the RSA. She also holds an MSc in Social Policy from the London School of Economics.
