Good recruitment of older workers

Discrimination and disadvantage in the labour market is a significant problem and requires greater understanding to develop policy solutions. The project is focused on the experiences of older workers but will also collect data from younger age groups. Methods include an opinion poll and focus groups.

The project is part of a 2 year programme of work, at the Centre for Ageing Better, developing, testing and communicating new and improved recruitment approaches directly with employers and recruitment organisations.

The research will seek policy challenges and solutions throughout all its stages. As well as employers, recruitment organisations and representative bodies, the findings are likely to be of wider interest to policy makers, analysts and researchers on discrimination and the labour market.
