Rt Hon Patricia Hewitt is chair of the Norfolk and Waveney NHS Integrated Care Board and previously chaired the Norfolk and Waveney integrated care system. Earlier this year, she completed an independent review of integrated care systems at the invitation of the government.  

Patricia was Secretary of State for Health in the Blair Government (2005 – 2007), having also served as Cabinet Minister for Women and Secretary of State for Trade and Industry (2001 – 2005).  As Health Secretary, she introduced the smoke-free legislation and led a major public consultation, Our Health, Our Care, Our Say, that anticipated many of the themes of the NHS 5-year Forward View and the creation of integrated care systems.
