Rooham is currently interning at the Centre for Analysis of Social Media at Demos while completing her MA Critical Media and Cultural Studies at SOAS. Her thesis is about how social media is implemented in digital strategy, focusing on advertising agencies based in Karachi.

She recently interned in the media and communications department at the London International Development Centre (LIDC). Prior to that she did her BA in Design from the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture where she majored in design. She has experience of working in the textile and fashion industry in Pakistan where she worked as a designer and social media manager before moving to London for her Masters.
