Marcial Boo


Marcial Boo is chief executive of the UK’s Public Health Register, that regulates public health workers, and the executive chair of the Institute for Regulation, the UK’s professional body for regulators. He was previously chief executive of IPSA, the regulator of MPs, and a director at the NAO and Audit Commission. He was a senior civil servant at the Home Office and the Department of Education, leading work on crime reduction, counter-terrorism, adult basic skills, and sixth form funding. He has written a book, The Public Sector Fox, to help improve the skills of public sector managers. He is an advisor to the University of Bath’s Institute of Public Policy and the African Caribbean Education Network.
