Hannah is the Head of Research for Digital Policy at Demos. She is interested in how democratic systems, institutions and cultures evolve in a digital age and passionate about enabling inclusive environments.
Having joined Demos in 2023, Hannah is leading programmes investigating the spread of disinformation and conspiracy theories in local information ecosystems, exploring the ethics of content moderation for generative AI and evaluating the impact of media literacy interventions. She brings over a decade of experience leading mixed-methods research and social impact programmes with a focus on tackling harmful attitudes and behaviours online and offline, both in the UK and Asia Pacific. She is a qualified secondary school teacher (PGCE), has a SOAS MA in Migration & Diaspora Studies and is currently completing a MSc on the Social Science of the Internet, part-time, with the Oxford Internet Institute.
