Arran is a research intern working in the Social Policy department. He is currently on a gap year and will begin studying a BA in Economics at the University of Durham in September. He has spent the year working at the Institute of Economic Affairs and the Policy Exchange, where he has researched integration, immigration and community cohesion policy with a specific focus on South Asian communities. At the Institute of Economic Affairs, he undertook his own research project into the economic implications of domestic violence.
He hopes to continue to expand on his research skills at Demos and explore areas such as the UK’s industrial strategy and the role of apprenticeships in future education policy. Arran hopes to continue working on public policy after he graduates by working in the Civil Service.
