Aman Johal
Future Public Services Taskforce Advisory Board Member
Aman Johal is Head of Social Outcomes, Managing Director at Big Society Capital whose mission is to grow the amount of money invested in tackling social issues and inequalities in the UK. She leads all strategy and investment work on outcomes based commissioning, which aims to improve public service delivery for individuals with complex needs.
Before joining Big Society Capital, Aman worked for J.P. Morgan, leading the firm’s philanthropic programme across the UK on employment and skills. During her time there she also played a leadership role in the roll out of signature programmes and in building the visibility of the impact of the firm’s philanthropic efforts across Europe, Middle East and Africa. Prior to this she held a number of positions across the non-profit and public sectors in the UK. Aman has also held additional roles such as Fellow of Practice for the Government Outcomes Lab, at the Blavatnik School of Government, Oxford University and as trustee for Hatch Enterprise which provides community-based entrepreneurship programmes to emerging entrepreneurs, through an eco-system of support that includes the provision of knowledge, mentorship and workspace.
