Alex Dawson works at Global Counsel, a strategic advisory firm which supports companies, investors, government agencies and civil society organisations on questions of public policy and regulation. He leads the company’s UK politics and policy practice. Before joining Global Counsel, he worked for over a decade in Westminster and Whitehall as a special adviser to Theresa May and David Cameron in Downing Street, and as the Director of Research and Policy for the Conservative Party. He regularly contributes to policy debates in the media, including in The Times, British GQ and on broadcast.
