Azzurra is the Associate Director (Information Ecosystems) at Demos. She joined Demos in January 2026.

Azzurra leads the Epistemic Security Network, which works to mobilise, evidence, convene stakeholders, and design strategies to strengthen the UK’s information supply chain.

Prior to joining Demos, Azzurra led policy at Full Fact, the UK’s independent fact-checking organisation, and developed expertise in combating misinformation and regulation of digital platforms. She is an international campaigner and regular commentator on media freedom and freedom of expression, and before joining Full Fact she led UK advocacy at Reporters Without Borders (RSF), the non-profit organisation that promotes press freedom worldwide.
