The Lancashire city of Preston has recently come to wider political attention for its decision to import a radical ‘community wealth building’ model from the American rustbelt, where it has been hailed as a successful inclusive growth strategy for poorer, de-industrialized communities.
This research project will assess the opportunities and risks of the Preston model, including a focus on whether it has impacted on citizens’ economic attitudes.
