Philippa is the Events and Communications Assistant at Demos, supporting the organisation’s busy programme of events, its media engagement, website and social media activity.

Before joining Demos, Philippa worked in the public affairs team at communications agency JBP. She holds an MA in Political Communications from Goldsmiths, University of London, during which she focused her studies on media representations and geographical imaginations in UK news media. Prior to this she graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a BSc in Politics with Communication, Media and Culture and studied abroad for a year at the University of Calgary, Canada. She was awarded the Oxford Brookes’ Politics and International Relations Prize for Best Dissertation for her investigation into what motivates young people to engage in politics online.
