James is a Research Trainee at Demos, working across a diverse portfolio of projects, including cyber fraud and misinformation. He is interested in technology, cybercrime, policing and foreign policy.
Prior to joining Demos, he worked for a Swiss NGO, conducting open-source research into the use of AI within criminal justice systems. In addition, he is a previous recipient of the Orwell Youth Prize and won the New Statesman’s Manifesto for Youth competition in 2014.
He holds an MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Oxford University and a BA in International Relations from King’s College London.
