New research from Demos explores the social and economic impact of ADHD, focusing on ADHD which goes undiagnosed and untreated, as well as the challenges faced through the life-course by those who have had a diagnosis. Undiagnosed mental health conditions can have a profound impact on individuals’ lives. Not only can they make day-to- day living a struggle and relationships chaotic, they encourage poorer outcomes in a range of areas, including education, health and work – costing the individual, wider society and the economy.
This project combines extensive desk research with insights from ADHD experts and adults living with the condition to shed light on this vital issue.
