The last decade has seen significant advances in how we support our veterans in the UK. The Armed Forces Covenant, introduced in 2011, cemented the obligations of all arms of government and civil society to individuals who have served their country. However, there remain distinct groups of veterans about whom not enough is known. This event marks the launch of new research looking at one particular overlooked group: working age veterans in residential care.

The report, Under-Served, explores the nature, needs and preferences of this small but significant group. The panel will discuss how government and Armed Forces charities can begin to use this new evidence to plan, design, deliver and evaluate effective support.
