Mark Garnier MP will join Demos to discuss how Britain can foster a more productive economy.
Britain is emerging from the recession, with GDP rising and unemployment falling. But we have a problem: in Britain we are less productive than our European counterparts in Germany and France, as well as global competitors in the US and Japan. In the long-run this is damaging to families, businesses and the government. Business performance must improve for living standards to rise and the tax-take to increase.
Speakers will include:
Mark Garnier MP
John Longworth, Director General, British Chambers of Commerce
Steve Wadey, Executive Group Director Technical / Managing UK, MBDA
This event will take place on Monday 29th September at 12.30 – 14.00 Room 107/109 in Jurys Inn, 245 Broad Street, Birmingham, B1 2HQ. Please click here for a map.
