The Night-time Economy: Local solutions to anti-social behaviour

John Glen MP will join Demos to discuss local solutions to alcohol abuse and anti-social behaviour.

This panel discussion will explore local authority solutions to alcohol abuse. In particular, we will explore local responses to anti-social behaviour and the balance of how to maintain and control a night-time economy in a way that helps local businesses whilst also protecting local communities. The discussion will build on Sobering Up, a report that Demos released last year.

Speakers will include:

John Glen MP, PPS to Eric Pickles
Henry Ashworth, Chief Executive, Portman Group
Chief Superintendent Claire Bell, Local Police Commander for Coventry, West Midlands
Jonathan Birdwell, Head of Citizenship and Political Participation, Demos

This event will take place on Tuesday 30th September at 08.00 – 09.30 in Room 107/109, Jurys Inn, 245 Broad Street, Birmingham, B1 2HQ. Please click here for a map.
