Policy workshop- hosted by Demos in partnership with the Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues

The event brought together academic, policy and tech-industry experts to review emerging evidence from Demos’ research programme, and to develop solutions around reducing risk and promoting good citizenship on social networking platforms.

Discussion points encompassed online risks and opportunities, the role of education and tech providers in promoting safety and positive engagement, and what works in developing the character strengths and skills to support digital citizenship.

This event formed part of a wider research project looking at young people’s ethical and moral decision making online, in partnership with the Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues, University of Birmingham.
