First do no harm: the future of AI in healthcare
A Conservative Party Conference Fringe Event
This event will explore the possibilities and challenges posed by artificial intelligence as it becomes more ubiquitous within the health service. How do we enable the NHS to reap the benefit of advances within diagnostics, sensor technology and service provision while ensuring that algorithms we rely on to keep us healthy are transparent, accountable and free from systemic demographic bias? Where will the vast amounts of personal patient data required to develop effective systems come from and who will be ultimately responsible for protecting it?
