What will Brexit mean for the UK’s labour market?

The UK currently has many citizens in part time employment, zero hour contracts and with a rising gig economy, Brexit may make us more vulnerable to the erosion of protections. This session will explore the opportunities and risks to labour market protections and existing inequalities.

The event is the first in a series hosted by Demos and Friends Provident Foundation, exploring the opportunities and risks Brexit presents to a fairer, sustainable economy.

The session will bring together around 30 national and local policy-makers, experts and thought leaders to think constructively issues facing post-Brexit Britain.

The discussion will be held under the Chatham House rule, but will help inform a final report drawing on the insights gained from each session on issues regarding the UK’s economic resilience in the wake of our exit from the EU.
