Gregg McClymont MP, Shadow Pensions Minister will lead a private roundtable discussion exploring how auto-enrolment can be rolled out across other areas of government policy following its success in occupational pensions.
Auto-enrolment in occupational pensions is widely regarded as one of the key success stories of public policy in recent years. With continuing pressure on the public finances and a widespread appetite to find new ways to reward those willing to take responsibility for their own futures, the question is where and whether this idea can be applied elsewhere. This discussion will examine the lessons from auto-enrolment in pensions and explore the potential for the principle to be extended into other areas of government policy.
Speakers will include:
Gregg McClymont MP, Shadow Pensions Minister
Dr Nigel Wilson, Group Chief Executive, Legal & General
Duncan O’Leary, Research Director, Demos (Chair)
