An industrial strategy for every city?

With the creation of the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, we see an emphasis on industry -focused policy making, as well as renewed commitment to a devolution agenda. This session will discuss what a post- Brexit industrial strategy should look like, and how it could catalyse and benefit the devolution agenda.

The event is the third in a series hosted by Demos and Friends Provident Foundation, exploring the opportunities and risks Brexit presents to a fairer, sustainable economy.

The session will bring together around 30 national and local policy-makers, experts and thought leaders to think constructively issues facing post-Brexit Britain.

The discussion will be held under the Chatham House rule, but will help inform a final report drawing on the insights gained from each session on issues regarding the UK’s economic resilience in the wake of our exit from the EU.
