How technology is changing access and choice to professional services
Conservative Party Conference Fringe Event
Advances in technology are shifting consumer markets, expanding access to a wider range of professional services. Online exposure brings great advantages through widening access and enabling easy comparisons between suppliers, but how does the average consumer know that the information and services they receive are accurate and safe? Could unscrupulous providers take advantage of a larger, more naïve audience? In this TripAdvisor age it is vital that regulators and Government adapt to ensure that citizens are getting accurate and safe advice online.
This event will draw together representatives from Demos and the SRA alongside experts, practitioners and parliamentarians to discuss effective methods of increasing access to legal services. The discussion will also provide an opportunity to explore how modernizing techniques can be further employed to offer modern legal services, well-suited to a modern economy.
