Ciaran was a researcher at Demos interested in deliberative democracy and the future of the web. Previously, he worked in investigative journalism and campaigning. Alongside this, he has documented the work of people facilitating philosophical discussion outside of academia at his site, The Public Life of the Mind. He holds an MSc from LSE in the Philosophy of the Social Sciences and a BA from UCL in Philosophy.
