The central role of cultural and creative production in preparing our young people for the world in which they will grow up.

In a speech to the conference, How Old do You Have to be to Be and Artist? at Tate Modern on 30th June 2006, Demos Director Tom Bentley outlined the importance of art and creative production in encouraging young people to find new means and confidence in expressing themselves and their points of view. The speech, written by Samuel Jones, outlines the central role that creative production can play in preparing our young people for the world in which they will grow up.
