Alex is halfway through a two-year MPhil in Political Theory at the University of Oxford. He read History and Politics as an undergraduate, also at Oxford, graduating with First Class Honours.

His research interests are in normative political philosophy and its interaction with public policy, particularly in relation to climate change. Alex has worked with Gordon Brown on two publications: the book 'Wartime Courage' and the pamphlet 'Why the Right is Wrong'.

His arrival has doubled the size of Demos' Watford FC fan club.
