- When:
- 27th June 2012, 08:30AM
- Where:
- The Walbrook Building, 37a Walbrook, London EC4N 8BS
We invite you to join us to discuss the findings of the Urban World: Mapping the Economic Power of Cities report by McKinsey & Company, research into urbanisation and the role of cities in the global economy.
Sixty percent of the worlds new consumers will live in just over 400 emerging market cities by 2025, many of them currently unheard of. The report maps the cities that are growing fastest and identifies which will be the economic powerhouses of the future.
What lessons can we draw for London amid this global urban growth spurt? Where does London feature and what are the opportunities for fostering greater trading links with these new city consumers?
The McKinsey Global Institute will present the findings of its new report. Speakers are Richard Dobbs, Director, MGI, Jaana Remes, Senior MGI Fellow, and Ben Rogers, Director of the Centre for London. The discussion will be chaired by Robert Gordon Clark, Executive Chairman of the London Communications Agency.
