These themes currently dominate policy agenda-setting in the UK, and has recently been explored in Professor Sen's new book, 'The Idea of Justice'. A short address on these issues will be provided by Professor Sen, with responses from Baroness Shirley Williams, Ed Miliband MP and Aryeh Neier of the Open Society Institute. A public Q&A chaired by Demos' Director Richard Reeves will follow.
