According to a survey undertaken as part of the research, women account for 64% of the cultural sector workforce, and achieve near parity at Chief Executive Director level. However, there is under representation of women on Boards, and particularly as Board Chairs. On the other hand, women Chief Executives tend to employ women and men account for only a third of the workforce. So there are gender issues in both directions...
