Everything TV

Have you heard of You Tube? Apparently 10 million Americans are using it every day. Can't decide whether it's the future of broadcasting or not. According to the brilliant bigshinything blog ETA used it to announce a ceasefire last week. In fact, you can watch it here . Now that ministers have "got the hang of blogging" perhaps they'll give this a go too. There's alot of this crazy clip culture around at the momnet. If you like you tube - try video bomb or holy lemon.

I've only recently heard of YouTube via community edited weblogs such as Mefi... It really looked to me as if it was a cheap way for Internet Users to record themselves singing along to the latest Madonna single and have millions of people watch them.... A bit ? la American Idol, but without the possibility of being ejected from the show by blood-thristy judges.
Maybe I'm a bit cynical? But browsing through the website yesterday I was discouraged quite quickly by the nymber of videos made to promote other websites as well (usually 'PrOn'!). I don't especially wanna to visit a website dedicated to the promotion of other websites... Seems ridiculous.
I'll take google videos instead I think.
