A Pro-Am of Note
by Paul Miller
Glenn Reynolds (aka Instapundit) came across our Pro-Am Revolution yesterday. He was directed to it via Chris Anderson (editor-in-chief of Wired Magazine) who is now working on a book code-named The Long Tail.
Incidently Clive xx who wrote about Pro-Ams in the New York Times Magazine has an excellent piece in Wired Magazine about Bittorrent. I'm not sure whether the stat is right but upto 30 percent of internet traffic last year was Bittorrent users. It threatens (promises) to pull the rug out from underneath the movie industry in a way that conventional file sharing is gradually doing to the music industry. He even manages to explain how it works in a way that I nearly understand.
